Jacqueline Kaye, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, smiling portrait

I became a therapist because therapy changed my own life. When I was younger, I worked with a therapist who made me feel seen, heard, and understood. She did not have all the answers, but she asked thoughtful questions, challenged me when I needed it, held me accountable, and created a space where I felt safe enough to be honest with myself.

Through that experience I learned to communicate better, take accountability, set healthier boundaries, and understand myself on a much deeper level. It was not that my life suddenly became perfect. It was that I started feeling more capable of handling whatever life brought my way.

Watching someone go from stuck and overwhelmed to steady and confident, and watching them realize they did that themselves, is the best part of this work.

At some point I realized I wanted to offer that same experience to other people: a space where you can slow down, feel accepted without judgment, and discover strengths you did not realize you had. It is a privilege to be invited into such an important part of someone's life, and I do not take that responsibility lightly.

Working with me feels like...

Warm

You never have to perform here. Good days and hard days are both welcome.

Grounded

Practical, honest, and down-to-earth work, with a little humor along the way.

Collaborative

You are the expert on your life. I bring questions, tools, and accountability.

Who I work with

College students and young adultsin the middle of becoming

Young adulthood is exciting and disorienting all at once: identity, relationships, independence, career direction, self-confidence, figuring out who you want to become. That season is where my own therapy journey started, which makes this work a full-circle moment for me, and it is the season of life my practice is built around.

My hope for you: that you trust yourself more than you did when you walked in, communicate with confidence, set boundaries without the guilt, be kinder to yourself, and leave with tools you will keep using long after therapy ends.

Most importantly, I want you to recognize your own resilience. My goal isn't for you to become dependent on therapy, rather it's for you to reach a point where you think to yourself, "I've got this."
